It turns on goes straight to the Home Screen but then nothing - it is just frozen. Swiping or pressing does nothing. The volume buttons work so it is not the remote. I’ve unplugged etc but it does the same when powered up. Any ideas please?

Well re-pairing the remote fixed it! Thank you. Still a bit odd that the volume control on the remote was working.
Possibly the remote isn’t paired anymore. Try pairing again.

Volume control is (often) electronically separate from the navigation controls (IR vs. bluetooth), so one part can be functional while the other part is not. Only the bluetooth part depends on pairing.
