Mac always times out when attempting to backup photos to Idrive
I have a Mac with a 1TB SSD. I use an external 2TB SSD for storing all iPhotos (80K plus photos and videos). I have been trying to use iDrive to serve as a cloud backup of the SSD drive for where the photos are stored in case it fails, house burns down, stolen, etc..... I do have a 3rd 3TB external drive that is used for the time machine backup of the mac and the 1TB SSD external drive that has the photo library. Every time I attempt to upload (decent download speeds but terrible upload speeds) the pictures to drive it suggests it will take10 hours or more. I have searched everywhere on my Mac to tell it to not go to sleep, no screen saver, etc... but it always times out and I have to start all over. It does not appear iCloud photos is the answer as that is really not for storing photos but more for syncing. So it appears if I want a cloud emergency back up of my photo library I have to figure out how to upload. This is driving me nuts and if we somehow were to lose all of the photos and videos for our 4 children my wife will kill me.
