Unable to play rented Apple TV movie on my iPhone
I rent movie but it doesn’t play on my phone.

Movies rented from Apple should play on any device with the Apple TV app, when signed in with the matching Apple Account. Rented movies can be streamed on one device at a time. Rented movies cannot be shared through Family Sharing.
Did you do the renting transaction on this same iPhone?

What happens instead of what you expected? Do you get an error message? What does it say?
The TV app on iPhone (or iPad) needs internet access, to show anything other than the local library.
- Through Wi-Fi, the TV app should have regular internet access.
- On cellular, the TV app would need extra permission to use cellular data.
