Regarding proof of purchase validation

As we all know, when a new chip is released, the old one is discounted, but some local shops still have old variants. The query is supposed to be currently running the M4 Chip for MacBook Pro. If I buy an old model such as MacBook Pro M3 Pro/Max from a local shop (not authorized) in Malaysia, and they provide their own invoice titled the shop name. Will that be an acceptable document as Proof of Purchase in case Apple Support needs it in the future?

The policy that muguy mentions is stated in this Apple document:

That is from Apple's US support documents.
