Has anyone got a solution for the sos problem blocking WiFi calling? My iPhone has to be in airplane mode at home with perfect WiFi to get any calls or texts. I don’t have cell service here unless I am outside to get 1 bar so I depend on WiFi for calling and receiving calls. These phones cost way too much money to be this useless. Apple fix this problem

It only works in airplane mode for WiFi calling. As soon as I turn it off and sos appears it won’t work. It hinders a lot of people who don’t have reliable cellular service as I’ve seen in discussions that I’m not the only one having this problem and it’s just with iPhone. Me and my son are on Verizon only difference is he has a Samsung phone and mines iPhone 15 plus. His works fine with WiFi and mine or my daughters don’t
If you don’t have a connection to your carrier your SHOULD put the phone into Airplane Mode, because the phone will keep trying to connect to the network by sending “are you there” messages every few minutes at full power, which will cause significant battery drain.
Wi-Fi calling should work whether the phone is in Airplane Mode or not, even not in AirPlane Mode but no signal.

I feel your pain, but I’m afraid your carrier is who can fix it.
When I have 7 hours to be on hold and then deal with 10-20 Verizon cs agents, I might try that.
