How can I calculate Active vs Total calories on my Apple Watch?

I use Workout mode almost daily. I may do an indoor run or Zumba (Dance). Even though my Heart rate is consistently above 100 I never have more than 80% active calories vs total calories. I do not rest and so I cannot understand why active calories isn't 95%. My resting HR is 52 so I should be getting far more active calories burnt.

Can someone help me understand please?

You'll burn about 2000 cals a day sitting down doing nothing, so that's about 83 cals per hour. If you wanted your active cals to be 95% of your burn then you'd have to burn about 1570 active cals per hour.

Running, you'll burn about 100 cals per mile, so if you ran at 16 mph - that's faster than elite-class marathon pace - for an hour you probably hit your goal of your goal of 95% active calories.
