My AppleID on my friend's phone

My aging friend lost his phone, bought a new one. He can't recall his AppleID password so I was trying to help him access iCloud. I used my own phone to help him log in (like one would do for a child's phone) and now his new phone has MY Apple ID on it. How do I reverse this?

iPhone SE, iOS 18

Erase it. And start over.

He will need to recovery his password to log in to his own Apple ID.
