Anyone else noticing worse battery on iOS 18.3 compared to 18.2.1? Felt solid before now I’ll lose 3% watching a 10 minute YouTube video and it’s a brand new 16 pro max. Also major screen stuttering/ choppiness when scrolling on text/ widgets.
This is normal. After you update your iPhone, certain related tasks including indexing continue in the background, in which you may experience an increased battery drain. When the update is fully complete, your iPhone will return to normal conditions.

Regarding your lag, please try a Force Restart procedure.

It’s easy to determine where the drain is by looking at app activity on a daily basis (last 24 hours) and last 10 days. Please post your battery usage by app and activity by app list. Here’s mine,

It’s not an issue on my 16 Pro Max, and Apple has not recognized this with a Service Program, so it can’t be a widespread issue. If you still don’t believe me, then give it a few days and let’s see what happens with the battery drain.

It’s been over a week now, how long does indexing take? Re the choppiness I have tried restarting many times and still very stuttery. I had a previous bug on this 16pro max where black rectangles were sometimes appearing on the photos I would take but that’s stopped now, so hoping software updates are going to solve this too… I have a feeling a replacement wouldn’t be any better. The customer service ain’t what it used to be.
