I'm about to sell my MacBook Air. My Apple Care+ runs until July 2026, so I logged into my account and tried to cancel it but I get a message that Apple can't confirm that I manage my Apple Care+ contract. I've never had issues in the past when selling a device and cancelling Apple care. Any idea what the problem is?

Rather than cancel the plan, though, you might want to consider transferring it to the new owner. That's often a big incentive for someone to want to buy your Mac.

Whether the problem preventing you from cancelling the plan would also prevent you from transferring it I don't know. You'll want to talk with Apple Support in either case.
