iPhone 13 stuck on progress bar during iOS 18 update
Hey everyone,
Yesterday morning, I tried to begin the ios 18 update at my house, where I have wifi. Before the update could initiate, I had to leave for school. Once I got to school, I (stupidly) began the update. All day, my phone was showing a black screen with the Apple logo and a loading bar underneath it (similar to the first image). The bar was at the very end. Once I got home, I was able to force restart my phone by pressing on the volume up button, then the volume down button, and holding the power button for about 10 seconds. That initiated a white screen with black writing at the bottom saying "swipe up to upgrade" (exactly like the second image). I followed the directions, which led me to a white screen with the black Apple logo and a black loading bar underneath it (exactly like the third image). I thought this meant the ios 18 update was finally installing, so I put my phone on the charger and left it there last night for over 8 hours. When I woke up this morning, the screen was exactly the same as the third image and still showing the bar almost complete. Now I am back at school with my phone powered off, unsure what to do. When I "turn it on" the same "swipe up to upgrade" screen appears. I just want to have my phone back to normal so I can use it, regardless of whether or not I am able to update to ios 18.
