Does this mean I’m doing something wrong to my battery? For reference, I never turn on low power mode and I was having my
iphone attached to a magsafe power bank all day and 80% limit charge enabled.

Orange means the battery is charging a bit slower than normal.....usually because the power adapter is not working at 100%.
Nothing to be concerned about.
