How do I completely unlink AirPods Pro after factory reset?

I gave my old AirPod Pros to a friend . I did a factory reset and made sure they were unpaired from my phone and findmy app. When she tries to pair them to her phone it gives her a message that they still belong to me and that I can even track her. How do I completely reset them as if they are fresh out of the box?
