Photos unable to recognise faces properly

On my phone it consistently recognises me as my girlfriend so I have to manually edit each picture to change it when I want to look through recent pictures. It’s really annoying.

On your phone, go to People. Click on your girlfriend. Then click the 3-dot menu at top-right and choose "Edit Name and Photos". Finally, tap "Review Photos identified as <person>".

Look carefully at the photos they show. It is very likely one of them is you. Deselect any photos that aren't your girlfriend's face. Then tap Done at the top right. Then Done once more to take you back to the person.

Next, repeat all that but on yourself instead of her.

Should fix the issue.

If you look over all the photos in her "Review" section and none of them is you, then back out and repeat the same process.
