Actually, no. Any kind of satellite linkup requires an iPhone 14 or later.
How do you know? T-Mobile lends the N41 frequency band (TD-2500MHz) for this purpose to Starlink. Starlink claims, that there are no modifications needed to the phones. Actually any phone with LTE capability in N41 band with a business SIM from T-Mobile US which requested to be part of the testing program should work. I was checking the specs of various iPhones and found that N41 is supported even by iPhone 11 or 13 mini. So, if only 14 and above, this will be only a decision by Apple to bolster the sales of never phones. Not a technical issue.
No
tarlink has partnered with a small group of select cellular carriers worldwide. Here’s the list,
T-Mobile — USA
KDDI — Japan
OPTUS — Australia
One BZ — New Zealand
Salt — Switzerland
Entel — Chili and Peru
Rodgers — Canada
Now what country are you in and who’s your carrier?
Possibly. But you must have updated your iPhone to iOS 18.3 AND most importantly, you MUST be a T-Mobile customer and you MUST request access through T-Mobile as a beta tester of the service. T-Mobile and Starlink have partnered. All Apple has done is work the them to permit the link to their satellites, again ONLY if you are a T-Mobile customer.
Satellite linkup what you refer to is different technology and services
About Messages via satellite on your iPhone - Apple Support
The issue is not what iPhones support N41, but what carriers. That’s a huge distinction. The n41 band is a 5G New Radio (NR) band that operates on a frequency of 2496–2690 MHz. It's used for high-speed data transfer and low-latency applications. It’s only used by T-Mobile and Google Fi.
So, again, if you’re not a T-Mobile subscriber, end of story.
You have to remember that changes happen all the time when technology is involved. The original post is almost 3 weeks old. About a week ago t-mobile expand their beta program to non t-mobile subscribers for a few months. This a marketing ploy to all non-subscribers to try the new service for free in the hopes of attracting new subscribers. T-mobile has stated that the service will transition to a paid service in July. The service is limited to text for now, but will add voice and data in the future. It still requires you to become a t-mobile subscriber in the future if you want to continue the service.
Yes, but that not disclosed in the marketing and promotional materials. If you read the fine print of what you’re agreeing you’re agreeing to, you might be able to decipher the legal mumbo jumbo. But most people aren’t familiar enough with the legalese and just click through the agreements.

Got it!
I tried to research it and wasn't able to find anything which said it would only work on iPhone 14 or newer? Are you sure it applies to a carrier, not just Apple's satellite link?
I mean the site says the beta is for T-Mobile and non T-Mobile customers.. until July atleast. But for now it’s free to every one no matter the service. You just have to get beta access
You do not have to be a T-Mobile customer to use Starlink. Beginning in July you can have AT&T or Verizon service and pay an extra $20 per month on your bill to have access to Starlink.
T-Mobile will provision one of your eSIMs for use on their network and T-Mobile will bill monthly for the service.
