Dual Studio Display setup problems

Dual Apple Studio Display setup with Mac Mini M4 Pro, macOS Sequoia 15.3

Some programs (e.g., Slack) cannot distinguish Apple Studio Display cameras, and instead select randomly a camera with same name. Renaming equipment (display, camera, microphone, speakers) should be possible to avoid random behavior. If renaming is not an option, then perhaps adding a sequential number provided that the sequential number keeps same between reboots and restarts.

Also, should be possible to select how sound output should be done, e.g. left channel to left monitor output, and right channel to right monitor output.

How to achieve this?

That probably works, at least as long as there is only one external camera with same name. Seems a little bit wasteful though - to not use already bought equipment.

I'll probably get other camera later anyway, for video production, right now I was simply trying to remove the random behavior. A bit annoying to start Slack call when the camera is selected randomly.

Confirmed. Works. Thanks!

You're welcome.

Downside seems to be that the volume control in the keyboard no longer works.

In certain situations would be great to have dynamic sound output/input. ie. to be able to direct the sound automatically to the monitor which displays the window of the app. Same could be said about the microphone and camera for audio/video input.

Sending feedback to Apple might help.
