IOS 18.2 downloaded on 14 iphone last night and I do not like the new format with categories. Takes up too much space. How do I go back to old format?

Tap the 3 dots in the upper right and select “List view”.

You can remove the icons next to each message too. Open Settings App. Scan all the way down to the bottom of the page and tap Apps. You'll see your apps listed alphabetically. Find and tap Mail. Turn off Show Contact Photos.
