Apple Music cannot read contents on iPhone 12

iPhone os 18.1

mac mini Monterey

same issue with iTunes, was told iTunes not compatible so upgraded to Apple Music. No help

i’ve tried all the typical resolutions, updates, cords, etc.

i want to import all of the music from my phone to a library of music I’ve had to rebuild manually on my mini. I want to combine all my music before resetting my phone and losing all that music.

I’m very frustrated by resolutions that don’t change anything. Any apple computer/tablet should be able to see/read any iPhone. It’s ridiculous that this has been this difficult.

You need a third party app to extract music form an iOS service such as an iPhone. Neither iTunes nor the Apple Music app have ever had this capability.

So, you’re telling me I have no choice but to reset my phone and just hope Apple Music cab read it afterwards? Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds??

Who said that? Nobody has mentioned resetting the phone. Apple Music will not extract the music from the iPhone regardless of what you do. Do not reset the iPhone if you want to be able to get your music back.

You need a 3rd party app to read the contents iPhone and extract the music. Resetting your iPhone will not do anything to aid in that.

Once the music is extracted, you can do whatever you want.
