How can I resolve unexpected restarts and problem reports on MacBook Pro?

My MacBookPro unexpectedly restarts and shows a problem report.

It is 2019 vintage 16" running sequoia 15.2

I have tried disconnected VPN and also external hard drive backing up with time Machine--one off at a time and then both.

Problem continues.

what can I do?

unplug all non-essential peripherals when testing

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/VPN/Anti-Virus

all known to cause issues on the macOS

To trouble shoot further you can:

—A SafeBoot Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled temporarily.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

This test will tell you if third party interference; most extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

***wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries— connect the charging cable, this will make the wired keyboard successful Safe Boot your Mac.

if still no insight or resolve—

You can get a good look at your User/System config. and reveal conflicts or issues, you can download/run this trusted utility https://etrecheck.com

While issues with third party software is possible (Safe Mode will be a good test for this), more than likely the Logic Board has failed which is very common with this particular model laptop.

I don't recommend spending in money on repairs for this specific laptop for multiple reasons. Besides the money spent on repairs is much better put towards a new laptop. The new M-series Macs will be so much better than any of the 2016-2020 Intel Macs with USB-C ports.
