iPad not syncing with iPhone on the same operating system

Suddenly my iPad will not sync with my iPhone. All running same operating system. Help?! Tried reboot to no avail

iOS devices have never synced device to device. Syncing is done using iCloud. Each device must be logged in to the same Apple Account ID, then in Settings/[your name]/iCloud choose what you want to sync.


There are a few exceptions; content that syncs to mail servers:


  • Contacts
  • Calendar events
  • Notes
  • Reminders


These sync by logging in to the same email accounts on both (or all) devices.
