the cable of my charger is about to break and I want to buy a new one. But the price to buy a new charger from Apple is very expensive. Instead I want to buy one from Amazon, will it function the same way as the chargers you buy from Apple? Cause I want it to charge my phone fast as well.

An “amazon” charger can run the gamut from great to cheap knockoff and downright unsafe.
The power adaptor is the only thing between your shiny, expensive, low-voltage DC iPhone and high-voltage AC power.
Skimping here can be VERY poor economy. (and possibly dangerous)
It doesn’t need to be “Apple” but it should be a name brand and MiFi-certified and purchased from a reputable Amazon vendor.
