How to update expired credit card information for payment on Apple Account?

I need to update my payment method as my credit card has expired. It's the same number as before but with a different expiration date and security code. Every time I try, whether on my iPhone, iPad, or PC, I get the message: Your payment method is declined. Update it or add a new payment method and try again.

Unable to change my payment method I want to update my payment information due to an expired credit card but this option does not appear on the Payment and Shipping screen. This screen only shows my billing and shipping address with no other options.
