Best SSD Adapter for 2025 MacBook Air (M3)

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased the 2024 MacBook Air with the M3 chip and am looking for the best SSD adapter to expand my storage. Since the MacBook Air doesn’t have an upgradeable internal SSD, I’d like to use an external SSD for faster file access.

I’m specifically looking for:

• Compatibility: Works well with macOS (latest version).
• Speed: At least 1,000 MB/s read/write speeds (Thunderbolt/USB4 preferred).
• Reliability: A durable, heat-efficient adapter that won’t disconnect randomly.

Does anyone have recommendations for a high-quality SSD adapter that pairs well with an NVMe SSD? Or would it be better to go with a pre-built external SSD?
