Hallmark Studio Greeting Card program not working on my iMac after updating to Sequoia 15.3

It is not!!! It doesn’t work. A faulty product with false advertising.

I fell for the ‘upgrade’ ad one year and when I downloaded it I had the same version as the year before, v22.

Does the new edition work with Sequoia 15.6.1? I bought the download last year and it did not work.

Will not work.

Just when I thought I got the marketing spam to stop with mac mail rules to block 5 different email addresses this one sneaks in from Hallmark.

Well. Once again it has taken close to forever (or so it seems!!!) … but HallMark has delivered on the promise. As a looonnnnggg-time user I received email yesterday advising new version (pic showed Apple compatibility sticker on front of box) thru newest Apple OS. Price $19 for return users. Could not go to bed until I bought, downloaded, installed, created and printed a card. It worked!!! It’s different. Tried today and had very difficult experience attempting to change card wording (which I have always done to personalize my cards.) I’m sure it’s just a minor learning curve… but… picture me a very happy user again!!!!!

Yes, in their bumbling efforts they ruined the original which worked well on the older OS. Now neither the new version or the older version work without problems.

Try opening a card built on the old version in the new and all sorts of problems appear. Attempting to copy from one version to the other crashes or you get distorted images. They are both .hcdx but not compatible with each other.

The software is not Apple friendly. You can't copy/paste from outside the Hallmark environment.

The new version has problems with text.

Adding the AI feature is a stupid gimmick. Adding this before the app is working properly just highlights the lack of professionalism of the so called developers. Obviously there is no clear development path that includes rigorous testing at each benchmark. This looks like, no, it is a 3 Stooges effort.

Time to write a letter to Hallmark CEOs. Take this contract away from a bunch of Windows monkeys (Avanquest) and give it to a reputable Apple developer to give it the look and feel of a genuine Apple product.

I did this and had to pay $29 but I really want the pre-made cards. However, I am unable to edit a new text box. Either nothing happens or a box to edit font/size/color pops up but I can't change the actual letters.

Have you used the Hallmark v23 with Sequoia 15.3 yet. It seems to work OK, but not as “bug free” as their v22 before the OS update broke it.

I am also curious if anyone is successfully using Hallmark Card Studio v23 with iOS Tahoe 26.x I am delaying my OS upgrade until I can get verification that is really does work.

I have v22 and v23. I have Tahoe 26.1. I have been using v22 by using ‘open recent’ since adding v23 projects don’t open in v22. I did receive an email from Hallmark saying they were aware of issues and were working on it.

V22 stopped working with upgrade to Sequoia but does work once I added V23 with the exception of opening existing projects in my card folder. So…I have been opening recent projects and redoing and renaming and saving in V22. Not an ideal option but I did get my Christmas cards made!

I found that V22 works (mostly) with the V23 loaded. I can't open any projects from the folder I keep them in but if I open it in V23 and then go to V22 I can "open recent". I then delete everything in that project and create a new one and save it as usual. I can open it until it is no longer an "open recent" item. V22 stopped working properly when I upgraded to Sequoia. I could "make" it work somewhat to get what I needed, but it works much better with V23 components. HOWEVER - it still sucks that this new version is such a mess.

Hallmark Card Studio program for macOS, in particular Sequoia will be available in early May and back to being able to be used for all MAC users.

I downloaded it, but just couldn’t get it to work on Sequoia. Had to request a refund. I might try again, but I had no success with the upgraded Mac version.

Same thing with me! I called Hallmark support and actually got someone to answer the phone. After they verified my purchase I received an email with v23.
