12.5.7 youtube stopped working and I want to download older version

I have an older iPad that the grandkid's use. YouTube stopped working on it today. It has 12.5.7 software and can no longer be updated.

The following is what I did and YouTube is now working again

I have newer iPad which also has the app so it’s in my cloud history.

I deleted the app on the Older iPad the went to App Store and searched for the app.

I clicked the app with the cloud on it. A pop up with “do you want to download an older version “ appeared. I clicked yes and it is now working.
