View your Purchase History here and let us know what it shows. You can provide a screenshot if you wish:

If you have any subscriptions, those can be cancelled here:

View or cancel app subscriptions on iPhone - Apple Support

If will help to know what the charge is for. If you started a free trial and did not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial period ends, it will become a subscription. Purchases on your device are done by double clicking the side button with the amount showing on the screen followed by verification with FaceID/TouchID or Passcode. If you give your Passcode to someone else, you have authorized them to use your device and that includes purchases.

There are many methods that Apple provides to prevent purchases on your device including using Screen Time Restrictions. It is difficult to provide a specific solution until you figure out how the charge occurred.
