I update the Software yesterday and my Nikon D800 is not recognised anymore-not in iPhoto not in NX Studio which is recommended to use. How annoying is that? Paying all that money for Macs (over 20 years a user mit multiple devices) it is just annoying!!!!

If you haven't already tried it, shut down your Mac (power off), turn off your D800 and disconnect them from each other. Also disconnect all other USB or Thunderbolt devices that may be connected to your Mac. Then restart your Mac. Then reconnect your D800 and see if it works. Sometimes a complete shutdown works wonders.
Thanks a lot-it worked. Rebooted in safe mode before ans tried to set-up a new test ibrary -but did not work. Now it works in Photos again.
