If you are using iCloud Photos on your phone, then you can see your pictures on the web by going to iCloud.com.

If you're interested in backing up your pictures, visit the web site using a browser on a computer with enough storage to hold all your pictures.

When you sign in, you can see several sections of iCloud, and you can choose Photos to see your pictures. If your pictures are in albums on your phone, they'll be in albums at iCloud.com.

You can select the pictures that you want to backup, and then choose the download icon:

I'm not sure about other computers, but on my Mac, these pictures go immediately to my Downloads folder.

You might want to do this in stages so that an unexpected interruption doesn't cancel hundreds of pictures.

Back up with iCloud Backup

  1. Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup and make sure that Back Up This [Device] is turned on.
  2. Connect your device to a power source.
  3. Connect to Wi-Fi
  4. Make sure that your device's screen is locked.
  5. If you get an alert that you don't have enough iCloud storage space to complete the backup, you may need to purchase more iCloud storage.Back up to iCloud
