Text to speech is not speaking in same language of text

While working, I use regularly highlighting emails, google articles, my own text, to read the text to me. Additionally, I always have an email or a document read to me to verify that there’s not been an auto change. What I’m having now is my writing and everything is in English, but a person in a Scandinavian language it appears is speaking to me in their language. Making The iPhone useless. I need to have text in English read to me in English with an English voice.
