Macbook Pro says AVAST Antivirus Security is still installed- but it isn't

I had to download Avast Security to use the wifi on my school's campus, but it wasn't working once I installed it, so I uninstalled it. I tried re-installing Avast and installing AVG, but each time, my Mac says that I need to uninstall Avast first. Avast does not appear in my applications or anywhere in my finder, so I am confused as to what I should do. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

This is for my 2021 Macbook Pro

third party software— did you use the official uninstaller(?) Look for a built-in or in-app uninstaller and use that,

not all uninstallers are 100% effective therefor places to look for pieces, Finder>Go>Go To Folder copy & paste each location:

/usr/local/

/Library/Application Support/

/Library/LaunchDaemons/

/Library/LaunchAgents/

reboot after manual deletions and compare your results
