How can I disable floating apps on my iPad?

My ipad has recently done an overnight update and when I got back on, it would keep giving me this annoying multi app thing where my current app is zoomed out and has other tabs around it and its so annoying. I want it to stay full screen like how it did before and not preview my other apps, is there a setting to remove this?

Example below - i just chose a random picture but those apps on the left side? how do i get rid of it

You have enabled Stage Manager this feature that providing a windowed desktop environment.

Stage Manager can be enabled/disabled from iPad settings. To disable:

Settings > Multitasking & Gestures > [Multitasking] - select Split View & Slide Over or OFF

Selecting Split View & Slide Over restores the multitasking view with which you are likely familiar. Selecting OFF completely disables iPadOS multitasking features.
