Do I need to contact my carrier to activate my new iPhone?
i just got my new phone, do i need to call me carrier to udated my new iphone info. or active my new phone

Possibly.
If your previous iPhone used a physical SIM card and the new one, does not support them, then you may need to contact your carrier to get the physical SIM card converted into an eSim.
If you were using an esim you should be able to transfer it directly.
