Error "GPU is not supported" after installing Photoshop app on Monterey 12.7.6

I installed PhotoShop on my Monterey 12.7.6 and get the following messages. GPU is not supported. Metal unavailable and Insufficient VRAM. I can't update my computer anymore. Is there any way I can fix this? I talked to a Adobe agent and he assured me that the new PhotoShop would run on my computer. All it does is crash.

Adobe – Photoshop system requirements

Minimum OS: "macOS v12*, v13, v14, v15"

Recommended OS: "macOS Sonoma (version 14.6.1) cannot be installed on macOS v11.x (Big Sur) or earlier"

The hostile "*" leads to the footnote "Adobe Camera Raw (version 17.0 and later) is not supported on macOS 12.x; we recommend updating to a later version of the OS for ACR support."

So supposedly it should work for editing .JPG files, .TIFF files, .PSD files, and the like. But if you want to work with Raw files from a digital camera, forget it. Given that Adobe generally has a policy of supporting only the last three major versions of macOS, I am surprised that they still list Photoshop as having even partial support for Monterey.
