iPhone 15 unresponsive on lock screen

I am curious if the iPhone 15 has a common issue with the screen becoming completely unresponsive (no touch feedback or facial recognition) as I am currently on the phone with Verizon support in talks of having my second replacement phone sent due to this issue. They had me try putting the phone into recovery mode and connecting to iTunes via my computer, but the phone does not even register having a usb plugged in. Additionally, both phones that I had have this issue tend to get extremely hot while charging when in this unresponsive state. It seems very strange and may just be a coincidence, but I am not sure.
