How to extend iPhone SE 2022 ring time to 30 seconds in the UK?

I have contacted Apple about this issue and the “solution” they sent doesn’t work. My carrier is set for 30 secs and they say that the problem is with the device. We live in the UK

Hi Jeff this is a copy of the response from Apple

How can I change the iphone to ring longer - Apple Community There is a process you may use to increase the length of a phone call from the standard 20 seconds to the maximum 30 seconds. Here are the instructions for that process, as well as a link to the article from which the instructions come. Best of luck with your situation Try, please, to follow theese steps: 1. Open the phone app and dial *#61# on the Keypad. Press the Call button. 2. Locate this text on the screen: "Setting Interrogation Succeeded, Voice Call Forwarding, When Unanswered, Forwards to +" and record the 11-digit number after the + symbol. 3. Touch the Dismiss button. Now enter this code on the Keypad: *61*+ followed by the 11-digit Forwards to number recorded in step 2, followed by *11 and *ringtime#. Ringtime is the number of seconds you want your iPhone to ring before voicemail picks up. Your finished code should look something like this: *61*+18555513466*11*30# In the example above the ring time is set to 30 seconds. Press the Call button. 4. You should receive the message: Setting Activation Succeeded. Press Dismiss and next time you receive a call it will ring for the new amount of time before going to voicemail. http://www.iphonefaq.org/archives/971382

My husband and I have both tried this on our phones and it doesn’t work. Phones are still only ringing for 20 secs

When you type in the codes, you’re essentially tapping into your cellular provider’s network. You have limited access to their system to change the duration.

There are several possibilities. UK doesn’t permit a change, hence no codes. Your network doesn’t permit changes. Your network does permit changes, and you had poor support from the team member you spoke to.

I’d try talking to your providers support team again and trying to learn more about the issue. Perhaps you’ll have to switch providers.

Nope .. still doesn’t work. This seems to be a USA post and I see he gives a different code for Australia. I can’t find any UK posts on this issue. Many thanks for your help anyway. I try Apple again.

Apple is the wrong place to turn. They don't have any control over the length of rings on your phone. Your carrier has to help you.

That's ridiculous of your carrier to say this. They are just being lazy and not doing their job. If they don't want to help you, take your business to another carrier who is willing to do their job.

This is a user to user only forum. As users there is nothing anyone here can do to extend the ringer time on your phone for you.
