How to prevent Control Centre from opening on a locked iPhone 16 Pro

Temporarily cover the Face ID sensor and test again too, as it’s very likely Face ID is allowing access as it should.

Go to Settings > Face ID and Passcode > Scroll down to Allow Access When Locked, and toggle Off Control Center.

I cannot access Control Center when at the Lock Screen (where I enter my passcode). So, are you referring to the Lock Screen? Or are you referring to a locked iPhone?

I can confirm that Face ID will allow you to access Control Center.

If you disable Control Center from the Lock Screen, then the thief would have to hold the iPhone in your face to access Control Center, and if they are going to do that, they might as well unlock it instead.

Yeah, and you’ll see the lock 🔒 flip to 🔓 unlocked and then disappear in the dynamic island or in the menu bar when Face ID triggers and unlocks, and (with common privacy settings) the text of notifications will also become visible.
