iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 18.3.1 and below keeps dropping internet until switching from 4G to 5G Auto

I have to keep changing my settings from 4G to 5G Auto for my internet to come back. It will constantly drop out until I change ‘voice & data’ settings

E, 2G, 3G, 4G, LTE, VoLTE, and 5G all are Carrier Specific features. Contact your Carrier (Cellular Service Provider), the agency that issued the SIM / eSIM to you. About the LTE options on your iPhone - Apple Support (IN)

However, iPhone model-specific feature is listed here --> Identify your iPhone model - Apple Support . and tap on "See the Technical Specs for Model "XXXXXX" under each model and Scroll down to the "Cellular and Wireless" section.

To use two different network providers, your iPhone must be unlocked. Otherwise, both plans must be from the same provider. If a CDMA network provides your first SIM, your second SIM won't support CDMA. Contact your network provider for more information. 


If you have an enterprise or corporate data service plan, check with your company administrator to see if they support this feature.
