Deleting photos after moving them to a folder on iPhone

when I move photos to a folder, a copy also remains. Is there any way to remove the photo once it’s moved to a folder

As muguy says, all the pictures are in the Library. A picture isn't in an album-- it's on a list. When you look at the Mardi Gras album, and you see picture IMG_1234, what's really happening is that the album is saying, "go to the Library and find IMG_1234 and show it to MsRobb." If the picture is not in the Library, you don't get to see it in an album.

The other thing is, if you decide to put this same IMG_1234 into the New Orleans album, too, then you need to be able to find it in Library to put it there. So disappearing from Library to be in an album would only make sense if a picture could only be seen in one place.
