i have photos I moved into a different album so I didn’t need to scroll through all of them and now I’m trying to figure out how to remove them from the “RECENTS” album (which is the default one where all the photos go once taken) and still have them in the album I made.

The pictures you put in the album is pointed back to the recent photos, you're not physically moving it into an album.
