Overheating iPhone Camera:
Perhaps this is a Fault Device?:
A. When did this Begin? Just curious. If it was on its own, then you might have a corroding battery --that would likely mean this might bis a faulty device.
B. Finding the Official Cost:
Take this in for a Genius Bar Appointment at your local Apple Store. Bring a proof pf purchase with you. There, it would be diagnosed, and you'd be provided with a cost.
C. Keeping this Cool:
With an icepack, you're likely to get condensation to occur. So, in the meantime of getting this serviced, place this atop a laptop cooler, and out of direct sunlight, and out of the corner of the room.
By burning do you mean the phone is actually on fire, or just really hot? If it’s on fire, get it out of your house because the battery is most likely damaged and can lead to an explosion. If it’s hot from usage, what were you doing on it? Have you tried a restart? Ice won’t necessarily help it cool down faster, and you can risk giving it water damage.
Turn it off immediately if it is burning up. You could get hurt or the battery might catch fire. Send the phone to Apple immediately for diagnostics.
Hello~ Click on below and I agree with *Caleb_McMath* putting your iPhone in an ice pack could damage your iPhone from water and condensation.

That sounds like it might be an issue with something else then. Could you try turning it off by holding the side button until the screen shuts off? After that, wait for it to cool down and then you could try turning it back on. If it’s gets hot again, you probably need to take it to be repaired. You can get it check out at either a Geek Squad at Best Buy, or the Genius Bar at an Apple Store. If you don’t live near either of those, you can send it in for repair.

Hi @Caleb, it is just very hot. I have put an ice pack on the phone to keep it from warming up. But every time I remove the phone from the ice pack the top right part of the phone on the back (underneath the camera starts to warm up quickly)
