MacBook Pro M4 Max – Wi-Fi unstable and unusable. Help! Hi everyone! We have a small office network with four MacBook Pro M4 Max (64GB Memory, November 2024) + two iMacs. They are all running the latest version of Sequoia. One of the team took the initiative to upgrade their MacBook Pro M4 Max to Tahoe. After that Wi-Fi connectivity has been unstable and has rendered the computer unusable. To try and fix the problem I did all the recommended fixes but nothing worked. In the end, I erased the computer completely and installed a fresh copy of Sequoia. Very sadly, the spotty Wi-Fi is still there in Sequoia! As if Tahoe somehow “broke” the Wi-Fi connectivity on this computer. Nothing has changed with the local network and the rest of the computers continue to work as normal. Connecting through an iPhone hotspot seems to work fine, but we need to connect to our server through Wi-Fi. This is incredibly frustrating and I hope someone can help! Thanks in advance!

How do I prevent my MacBook Pro from connecting to another device for Wi-Fi? It's not often, but it's regular enough that when I boot my Mac up to start working, whether or not an internet connection is involved, it tries to "connect" to my WiFi network through another device, therefore killing the connection until I either switch to another network (which isn't always effective) or turn off the WiFi connection myself (again, not always effective, but better than the previous option). My MacBook Pro has OS Sequoia version 15.3. I originally had an Air 13 before this, and never encountered this issue. It is not impacting anything for my work itself, granted, but it has become a severe annoyance. How on earth do I prevent my Mac from c"onnecting to another device to use a wifi connection" that doesn't work? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Can't get Mac to forget a wifi network Hello! I have a MacBook Pro 2017 running Ventura, and it can't seem to forget a wifi network. I was given a temporary login for this wifi network, and now that I have an official login, I was trying to get my laptop to forget the network so I could login to the wifi with my new credentials. This path of forgetting the network and logging back in worked fine on my iPhone and iPad, but my Mac will not forget the wifi network no matter what I do. I tried turning off auto-join (it keeps getting automatically turned back on), manually forgetting the network, restarting the computer, &c. Anyone have any suggestions?

Transferring Data from PC to Mac, Hardwired:

Do you use any Security Software? If so, turn any firewalls off. As for connecting then, a crossover Ethernet cable would work, just fine(with a couple of adapters). Learn More Here: Use Ethernet to Connect two Mac Computers - Apple Support

For a Computer without Ethernet, you'd need wither of these:

USB-C: Belkin USB-C to 2.5Gb Ethernet Adapter - Apple
USB-A: Apple USB Ethernet Adapter - Apple
