Is Dolby Atmos Supported with Airpods 4 and Apple TV 4k 2021?

Simple question that Apple support cant seem to provide a straight answer to... Should I be getting Dolby Atmos sound when watching Dolby Atmos enabled videos (e.g. on Apple TV+, Netflix, Disney+ etc) on my Apple TV 4k 2021 device with Airpods 4?

When watching on my Apple TV device directly through my TV speakers I get a notification at the top right of the screen saying "Dolby Atmos" indicating its enabled, but when I switch to Airpods 4 I get no such notification so presumably is not active. There are no "Dolby Atmos" options under Audio Format settings either.

So bizarrely it looks like it is not supported despite being Apple TV+ content on Apple TV device with Apple Airpods, but would like a definitive answer if possible. Thanks!
