Should I fully charge my new iPad Pro (M4) and Apple Pencil Pro before use?

¡Muchas gracias!

I just bought an IPad Pro (M4) and an Apple Pencil Pro. Both come with battery, but not complete. Should I charge the devices to 100% before using them? Or, on the contrary, do I use them with the percentage of charge they bring from the factory and already charge them when the batteries reach less than 20% (or when they are completely discharged)?

Your iPad and Pencil both use Li-ion batteries. While fully charging before use will do no harm, there is no reason to charge either prior to first use. You should avoid deliberate full discharge of Li-ion batteries - as, if not immediately recharged, the battery may be irreversibly damaged through deep-discharge.

Much older battery chemistries that used to be used in portable devices, such as NiCad or NiMH, have different requirements.
