Sorry, but that is your responsibility. You have many ways to prevent purchases on your device, but they must be used by you if you are going to allow someone else to access your device. Purchases can only be made on your device with FaceID or the Passcode to your phone and that gives anyone authorization to make purchases. If the child has their own phone, you can also set parental controls to restrict what they can use it for. The tools you can use to prevent purchases are:

  • Require Password for purchases (different from the passcode)
  • Prevent In-app purchases
  • Prevent app downloads in the App Store
  • Use Ask to Buy if the child has their own device.

In most cases all transactions in the App Store are final for that reason. At times, Apple may provide a compassionate refund, but it should never be expected. All you can do is try here:

I sent a refund request yesterday, it was rejected without explanation. The previous refund request was only 1, in 2020 for an Apple Music subscription. I ask for understanding of the situation. Help

You won't get an explanation. As previously posted, all transactions in the App Store are final. At times, Apple may provide an exception, but you should not expect it.

Preventing those purchases is what you must do. Doing that depends on if you gave your child the Passcode to your device or if the child has their own device where you use Purchase Sharing to allow purchases on your payment method. If the child.
