Why don't I get a full-screen message after an iOS update on my iPhone?

When I went to Software Update, I found a new update (iOS 18.3.1). I tapped Update Now. I entered my passcode and it started downloading. At some point, a message appeared saying Install Now or Later, I tapped Install Now. The screen went dark and a white apple appeared on it and some kind of sloppy line started loading. At some point, the apple disappeared and the screen was dark for quite a long time. I thought I would just tap the screen to see if it was still updating or if it was crashing. When I did, I saw a notification on the lock screen that said : Your iPhone has been updated to iOS 18.3.1. When I tapped on that notification, it disappeared. Does this mean my phone updated beautifully? When I was watching YouTube tutorial videos, I noticed that others get a full-screen message/notification that says : Software Update Complete. Your iPhone has been updated to IOS 18.3.1, and then they press Continue? Why don't I get that message/notification? And why didn't it ask for my passcode after the software update? Did I do something wrong and should I be worried?
