" Disk Not Ejected Properly"msg

I have tried several times to connect & use TM but I receive after a period that Disk Not Ejected Properly" even though I persist with disconnecting and turning off as listed. And trying to connect with Tm again. How should I comply?

iMac 27″, macOS 15.3

How is the TM drive connected to your iMac?

Directly or thru a hub?

If a hub is the hub self powered or bus powered?

If a hub how many other devices are connected via the hub and what are they?

Have you tried a different port (on the iMac) and a different cable?
