How to fix damaged recovery file information on an old used MacBook Air?

I have an old used MacBook Air that I have purchased. Now that I have a new one, I am erassing it in the factory setting to give it to a friend. Well, I damaged the recovery file information. How to fix that? This Mac can only open on internet help. On macOS Utilities, nothing works, so I turn to you for help.

The recovery volume can only be repaired by reinstalling the OS.

Mac OS X Lion introduced the concept of the recovery partition, and since then every OS version has the ability to install a recovery partition relevant to its own version.

It you have damaged or deleted the recovery partition, then you’ll need to reinstall macOS. Internet recovery may be the only way to do that unless you can create a bootable USB installer with another Mac capable of running the OS you wish to install.
