iPhone screen randomly dims while playing games

I have this issue where randomly

whenever I’m using my phone

it randomly dims!

I believe it’s a heat issue because whenever I am playing a game that requires a lot of “resources” and heats up my phone it begins to dim. If this is the issue is there a way to fix this?

Granted I believe it was regarding the 5G but it also happend when connected to a wifi. iPhone brightness dimming while watching instagram and facebook reels only Hi I’m using and iPhone 13 Pro Max with latest iOS and I’ve been experiencing a dimming effect only on meta apps - instagram and FB only while viewing reels only not stories I’ve googled the issue and many have it without any resolution I’ve tried removing below with no effect -HDR from app -Attention aware feature -Auto brightness -True Tone -Night shift And still the iPhone dimes watching meta reels only All other apps doesn’t do that at all only meta reels I’ve reinstalled instagram and fb and still same and reset iPhone with newest iOS still same Note: phone is cold using at home even when i used it first thing in morning or anytime durying day. iPhone 15 Overheating and decrease screen brightness while playing games I bought iPhone 15 plus 15 days ago. I did the installation. There is almost nothing inside. All features are disabled. Background refresh, location etc... In all heavy games, especially when playing COD Warzone, it overheats and the screen goes dark. When the phone cools down, the screen brightness returns to normal. The battery runs out very quickly. Even when I'm not playing games, the battery drains extremely quickly. I was very disappointed. I've been using Apple products for years, and I've never had a product that I wasn't this happy with. I'm so sorry, I'm thinking of selling it and buying Android 😒

Dimming the screen is way to keep your heat from building up. If it gets above a certain temperature threshold it will start throttling your processors to keep your device from overheating. By reducing the screen brightness it delays throttling which would reduce frame rates and reduce colors and lower rendering quality.
