Apple Watch screen is not working in water after turning water lock off

When I go for a swim at the end of the swim after I turn the water lock off the watch stops working until it is completely dry meaning that if you want to pause your workout for some reason you cant unless you get out of the water and dry the watch and your hands thoroughly with a towel.

Pressing the Digital Crown and the Side button together will pause the swimming workout, after that you can disable the Water Lock and stop the workout.
