iPhone background is black after a restore

I accidentally hit 'restore', and now my background is black and I can't get it to change. I do not have an iCloud Backup.


It's an iPhone 12 Pro Max

Try a Forced Restart on the phone and cross your fingers. Force restart iPhone - Apple Support


Quickly press the Up Button

Quickly press the Down Button

Hold the Side button in until the Apple logo appears in the center of the screen and then release


(Hint.....ignore the "slider" when it appears and keep holding the Side button in until the Apple logo appears. This might take another 10-20 seconds.)


If no luck, you will need to make an appointment at the Apple Store or take the phone to an authorized Apple service shop. You can find a list of authorized shops in your area using this link:
