Two-factor authentication not letting me sign into Apple TV
the two factor pop up is always blank, I get the code but no where to type it in

What Apple TV model do you have?
For older Apple TVs, you need to enter the code in the password field along with the password.
If your password is "pass45" and the code is '123456' then enter "pass45123456" together in the password field, no spaces.
You may need to enter the password, and press submit wait for the code, then go back on the Apple TV to the login screen to enter the password again with the code you just got.
Alternatively, if you have a device running iOS 17 or earlier, you can manually request a code in Settings ➜ Apple ID ➜ Password & Security ➜ Get Verification code so you can request it before hitting submit on the password field.
The option seems to no longer exist in iOS / iPadOS 18 however. It still works on iOS 16 and likely 17.
